Goldeluck’s Bakeshop introduced the world’s first gold croissant-doughnut made with real edible 24 carat gold earlier this month.
Business owner Phillip Kuoch told the Herald Sun that he wanted to create something special for Mother’s Day.
“People want to get something special for mum each year and so we wanted to go above and beyond to create something special,” he said.
Since its release, hundreds of 24K Gold Magic Dossants have been preordered ahead and after Mother’s Day. The gold dossant was featured in several popular food blogs such as Cooking Panda, Broadsheet, Food Envy and international media outlets such as Metro UK, Detik Indonesia and Epoch Times China.
